Ronaldo Set to Stay at Al Nassr Despite Club World Cup Rumours

Ronaldo Set to Stay at Al Nassr! that’s music to many fans. Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly close to signing a new contract with Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr, ending speculation about a possible move to the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. Earlier this month, the Portuguese star confirmed he would not be participating in the tournament, putting an end to weeks of transfer rumours.

Prolific Record, But Team Success Elusive

Since joining Al Nassr in December 2022, Ronaldo has been a dominant presence in front of goal. He has scored 93 goals and provided 19 assists in 105 appearances across all competitions. However, despite his standout performances, a league title has remained out of reach. In the most recent season, Al Nassr finished third, missing out on a spot in the AFC Champions League Elite. Instead, the club has qualified for the AFC Champions League 2, the second-tier continental competition.

Managerial Search Continues with Ronaldo Not Leaving Al Nassr Anytime Soon

Al Nassr is currently dealing with managerial instability following the departure of Stefano Pioli, who became the third full-time head coach to exit the club since Ronaldo’s arrival. With the managerial post vacant, the team is in a transitional phase ahead of the new season. Ronaldo’s decision to stay is likely to provide a crucial sense of leadership and stability in the dressing room during this uncertain period.

International Glory Continues for the Veteran Star

Despite club challenges, Ronaldo remains successful on the international stage. The 40-year-old recently helped Portugal lift the UEFA Nations League title after defeating Spain in the final. This marks the third international trophy of his career, further solidifying his legendary status in world football.

As the new season approaches, fans are hopeful for another explosive campaign from the Portuguese icon—especially now that Ronaldo is set to stay at Al Nassr.
